Since it’s Thursday, I thought I’d share kind of a throwback recipe for the 12 Days of Christmas Cookies with these Press Cookies. These were a staple in my house growing up (and I’ve actually blogged about them before – making them the only recipe I’ve really covered twice).
So why so much love for Press Cookies (which are sometimes called Spritz Cookies)? I couldn’t do a 12 Days of Christmas Cookies without them. My mom used to make dozens upon dozens of these and keep them in the freezer leading up to Christmas. Getting ready for a holiday party, she’d regularly pull out Ziploc bags with only a few left in them because my sisters and I would steal them out of the freezer. That’s also why most everyone in my family prefers them frozen over eating them at room temperature.
Note: I haven’t included the recipe on this post, but you can click here to go back to last year’s Press Cookie post to get it!
