Hey everyone and happy Thursday. This week has been kind of dragging for me. Work has been busy, but we have a lot of fun stuff planned for this weekend so I can’t wait! I’m definitely going to do a weekend recap on Monday so you can check out all the fun stuff we did (and that includes meeting my newest little niece!) and I seriously can’t wait.
Something exciting happening today: I have a guest blog post up on Sweet Tooth, Sweet Life! I’m a big fan of Courtney’s, and found her blog online – despite the fact that we both live in the Capital Region. She shares a lot of interesting stuff – recipes, healthy living tips, workouts, etc. so go over and check her out! The (not-so-healthy) recipe that I have over there today will be posted here tomorrow, and its seriously a good one (brownie + pie = pure magic).
Anyways, I made a quick trip last night to Healthy Living Market to stock up on essentials and we were super low on produce by the middle of the week. So with this trip, I thought I’d show you what my essentials are. I always love seeing what people buy at the grocery store (yes, I’m that much of a nerd) so I thought I’d share what I got. Keep in mind, not all of these products are exclusive to HLM, and are most likely sold at your local natural foods store or Whole Foods. Also, it’s just us girls this week so I definitely would’ve gotten a few more treats if Trevor was in town.
Note: This is not a sponsored post. I just love grocery shopping this much. #foodbloggerproblems
So here goes:
What I Bought:
Organic Braeburn apples
Organic heirloom tomato (It’s huge and was well over 1 lb!) I’m not sure what I’ll do with this, but it’s peak tomato season so I couldn’t resist
Guacamole (a splurge, but totally worth it)
Green Mountain Gringo tortilla strips
Tomato paste – 3 cans (2 for the pepperoni pizza and another for last night’s meatballs)
One dozen local eggs from McMurry’s Sunshine Farm (about 25 miles away)
And I also picked up a fresh-pressed green juice while I was there. I literally sat in traffic for 45 minutes to go about 10 miles (crazy!) so it was gone before I even got home!
