This seems a little crazy to post this because we’ve been home for almost two weeks (ah! Where did the time go?), but I wanted to share some photos from our trip to Maine. It was another fabulous week at camp with almost every day bringing amazing weather. We had some delicious dinners and a few delicious pies so I had to share some photos.

For some reason, Bryn literally insisted on wearing her footie pajamas almost all day, every day, but as her mother for the last 4.5 years, I’ve learned to pick my battles. She cracks me up though.

It was great to see family and enjoy some serious down time. We are already counting the days until we can sneak away for another weekend to camp!

One of the best things about the trip was the massive wild Maine blueberry crop around camp. There are blueberry bushes everywhere so we were pretty consistently picking (and eating!) everyday. I made one of the best pies I’d ever made with these little blueberries. They’re just way better than anything you’d buy in a grocery store and have tons of tart blueberry flavor.

The girls with their cousin, Georgia

We, of course, had to do one dinner with lobsters and clams. I’m not a big clams person, but it was awesome to have a lobster, some corn and my mother-in-laws cole slaw for dinner one night! A big shoutout to my niece Georgia who is a fearless eater. That girl loves her seafood and it was hysterical to watch her put it away. Our kiddos had hot dogs, but I was proud of Bryn for trying a clam!

One last meal to share – my sister-in-law Kelly and I made these delicious salads for lunch one day – spinach with beets, walnuts, wild Maine blueberries, goat cheese and some fried polenta croutons. So delicious!
