It’s Smoothie Sunday! It’s not really a thing. I just made that up. Please forgive me. I’ve spent way too much time without adult interaction.
Do you ever open up your freezer to find that you have three bags of frozen mango? No? Just me?
Here’s another smoothie I came up with, and hopefully the frozen mango will be gone in a couple weeks. This is pretty similar to the Mango Tango Smoothie, but no spinach and adding some old-fashioned oats, which will help make you feel fuller longer.
Notes on this recipe: If you don’t have protein powder, add a dash of vanilla extract instead. That gives the smoothie a nice, creamy flavor.

Tropical Oat Smoothie
- 1 scoop of protein powder (try to find an organic kind)
- 1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 3 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix it up thoroughly. Enjoy!
