Caked on food inside the microwave is the worst. It takes a ton of cleaner and elbow grease to get those stains off, right? And every time you turn on the microwave, you’re just cooking it on there a little more each time.
So here’s an easy and all-natural way to clean your microwave in less than 10 minutes. It requires no harsh chemicals (that end up going into your food) and you probably have everything already on hand. So here goes:
To clean your microwave, grab a heat proof container – one that can really withstand serious heat in the microwave too! I combine one cup of white vinegar with a cup of hot water in my heat proof mixing bowl. Place it in the microwave and heat on high for about 6 minutes. If you have really caked on stains, go higher like 8 or 9 minutes. This mixture will steam the inside of your microwave and loosen a lot of the caked on food.
Once its done, let it sit for another minute or so to steam even more. Pull out the bowl, wipe out your microwave and it will be as good as new!
